Shop units were altered internally to cater for varying needs from established sole trader to flexible weekly cake selling slots.

CATERING FOR 3 BUSINESS SIZES
Consideration was given to manning of the units as six separate buildings required someone in at all times, cuts were therefore made in units 2 and 3 from first to ground floor to enable a single person to look after the shop. Unit 1 was able to hold 8 rentable spaces therefore it was hoped someone would be in all the time.
Units opened out onto Edge Street, hoping to improve the footfall for the existing struggling retail units opposite.
Access could also be gained via a raised pedestrian walkway and from the lower level pedestrian route.
