SO WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

3.Proximity to Town Centre

Although facilities may be considered to be close to the town centre, for someone with reduced mobility not all facilities may be within an achievable walking distance

2. Lack of continuity of facilities

Many events are volunteer run which relies on regular attendance many outdoor events also only run in the summer.

'I can't use a computer so they're wasting their time advertising all these events online, we just need a central notice board where people can advertise activities'

Stretford Resident, 75

1. The access to knowledge of facilities

Stretford's Older Residents

'I just want to get out of the house abit more, have somewhere warm to sit and just watch the world go by

Carol, mid 60's

On speaking to many older residents at our pop up event it became clear that there were many facilities they felt Stretford was lacking yet many attributes it currently had that just needed improvement  Having heard their opinions I then tried to find out exactly what facilities and activities were available for older residents of Stretford.

'The pavements are in such bad condition I don't go for walks as much as I used to as I'm so scared of falling'

Resident, 72
